You connect Gemini Enterprise to StackOne over MCP through IT: create a data store under Gemini Enterprise → Connected data stores → Create data store, pick Custom MCP Server and OAuth 2.0, supply https://mcp.stackone.com/mcp, the auth/token URLs, client ID, and scopes mcp offline_access. Enable PKCE, verify, and continue. Employees then sign in and pick their own accounts.
You need the Discovery Engine Editor role (roles/discoveryengine.editor) on the project running Gemini Enterprise, since the data store is a Discovery Engine resource. Your MCP server and its identity provider both need public HTTPS reachability for OAuth to complete — StackOne's hosted gateway already satisfies that. See Google's setup docs.
Custom MCP server connections are documented across Standard, Plus, Pay-as-you-go, and Frontline, with Business covered separately. Gemini Enterprise is a paid Google product, so there's no free tier to try this on, and the consumer Gemini app cannot add custom MCP servers at all. Check Google's documentation for current availability.
You don't configure each app in StackOne yourself. IT connects the apps and sets the action ceiling for your project. Gemini Enterprise sends you to a consent screen where you pick which of those accounts and actions to use, narrowing further if you want. Rerun the flow to change it.
Once connected, Gemini Enterprise can run whatever actions you granted, across 530+ live connectors and 33,000+ tested actions — CRM, HRIS, ATS, ticketing, finance, and more. One thing to know: Google ships custom MCP servers switched off, so enable StackOne in the connectors panel first. Browse the actions in the directory above.
Your app credentials — Shopify, Salesforce, and the rest — live server-side in StackOne and never reach Gemini Enterprise or Google Cloud. The gateway address carries no access on its own. With PKCE enabled, Google stops asking for a client secret, so no long-lived secret sits in the config. Each token is scoped to what you picked.
IT can roll out the StackOne MCP connector to the whole organization in one pass: an admin creates the data store once, and it's available org-wide with nothing to distribute per person. Each employee still signs in, picks their own accounts and actions, and switches StackOne on in their own connectors panel, since Google enables no tools by default.
